We’re excited to announce the launch of our 'Demystifying...' series of video workshops, exploring the world of Indian instruments. 📯

In this series, we’ll be charting the history and origins of Indian instruments, looking at their sounds, typical techniques, notation and how composers of any level and culture can write for them.

We’ll be releasing bite-sized episodes every fortnight on our website, starting on Monday 21st February 2022, with an introduction to the tabla, a type of Indian drum, with the legendary Kuljit Bhamra.

We are always trying to increase awareness of Indian instruments and encourage more composers to use these sounds in their work. There’s something in this series for everyone so be sure to check it out!
