Collaboration with Opera North
We’re thrilled to be working with Opera North on an Anglo-Indian prequel to Monteverdi’s Orfeo!
As part of Opera North’s ‘Whistlestop’ opera series, this will be a joyful 45-minute exploration of love, music, and hope for the future.
The Orpheus myth opens with the death of Eurydice, but this prequel begins long before this. Discover the legend of the original star-crossed lovers in this pop-up musical experience.
Kavi Pau joins musicians from South Asian and Western musical traditions to imagine a prequel to Monteverdi’s opera, which will be touring across North England from 21 June - 5 July.
